As editorial director of Connected World and Constructech magazines, she has been able to take risks and invest in many areas making her an innovative tech leader. In 2016 she founded the Peggy Smedley Institute, a top-ranked professional educational organization focused on providing comprehensive assessments of its clients’ roles within IoT. And most recently, in 2017, she introduced Constructech TV, a Web-based dynamic video program, educating contractors and builders on the most essential solutions for the office and the jobsite.
She has collaborated on eight published books and authored Mending Manufacturing: How America Can Manufacture its Survival, a book detailing all aspects of the American manufacturing crisis. She has also been a guest on television business and news programs and has been a voice on many national commercially syndicated radio shows. She is an internationally known speaker and highly respected personality in the media world.
In 1997, Peggy formed Specialty Publishing Co., with the goal of enlightening executives in key industries to the importance of understanding technology for the betterment of their companies. Surpassing publishing norms, Peggy has guided her newly formed Specialty Publishing Media (SPM) company with print, Web, social media, radio, blogging, TV, and more.
